Andrew Wiggins playing well
Wins and losses aside, Minnesota coach Flip Saunders has to be thrilled with the recent play of Andrew Wiggins, who posted his fifth straight 20-point game Wednesday in a loss to the Phoenix Suns. With his 25-point performance, he joined Sam Mitchell and Christian Laettner as the only rookies in franchise history to hit for 20-plus in five straight games. Over his last 10 games, Wiggins is averaging 18.2 points and 5.0 rebounds in 35.7 minutes while shooting 48 percent from the field. Compare that production with his numbers from November, his first full month in the NBA, when he averaged 12.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in 29.9 minutes while shooting 40 percent in 13 games.
