We're at 3.15 in Southwest CT, the lowest I've seen in ten years too. Just a few years ago it felt like if it dipped below 4 bucks people would be filling up plastic jugs.

I also just paid 2.75 for heating oil, which is the lowest I can remember it since I've been paying for heating oil.

During 2009, when cargo container ships were being parked on beaches and millions of americans (and others) suddenly had no daily commute gas prices dropped prett dramatically.

Nah man, I haven't seen gas dip under 3 dollars in San Diego since before the recession hit. That's just for San Diego though. I can't speak on national averages

Haha I know why I don't remember the price dipping that low. I got laid off right around that time due to the recession. So I wasn't driving much, if at all
