Wishful thinking. Gonna be epically hilarious on ISH when Bron wins his third straight FMVP.

Could've sworn Bron outplayed KD in their recent head-to-head match. I believe he scored more points, on less FGA, AND had a higher FG%

Agreed, his game isnt aging well at all. He'll probably retire very soon cus he doesn't want his career stats to plummet.

This is actually an eye-popping stat to me. I guess I still always think of Bron as a young dude with many years of prime left but he might only have 3 or 4 left of championship quality years. Then again, when somebody says ten years ago to me, I instantly want to say 1990-something...I guess my time sense has been pretty thrown off these past few years.

Did Durant outplay Lebron in the '12 finals?

He's in peak fitness, never had any real serious injures. He's got another decade in him.

Lebron is coasting, it's true whether you like it or not. Heat or coming of back to back championships, it's human nature to start to get a bit complacent after such success, especially during the long and at times meaningless regular season, especially when Lebron has already won 4 reg. season MVPs. He's also playing the fewest minutes of his career. Anyways, let us look at his per 36 stats this season compared to career avg. stats to see how much he's "declined"

    PPG: +0.5

    ASG: -0.1

    RPG: even

    SPG: -0.3

    BPG: -0.4

    fg%: +8%

Only major "decline" is steals and blocks which comes back to lack of effort and coasting.

What Durant is doing in his age 25 season isn't out of the norm compared to other all-time greats. Best statistical season does not equal a player's peak.

Barring something drastic, Durant will likely only improve to some extent over the next 3-5 seasons...just like about every other all-time great.

    2012 Finals...

Durant: 30.6 PPG on 55/39/84 shooting

LeBron: 28.6 PPG on 47/19/83 shooting

I guess Durant outplayed LeBron in the Finals, then.

    ...

Could've sworn we were talking about 2013. Durant is the king of second place. Do we really need to revisit the past to prove my point? lol
