Shouldn't use words like this to describe people but the trade has a "garbage in, garbage out" feel to it. It's likely that D'Antoni is sick of Gasol and STAT has been a star of his twice but you don't trade for a guy with that kind of contract that has been missing games over troublesome knees. If LA deals Gasol they can do better than this.

the are not but they wont pay Amare 21.6 next yr and 23.4 the year after that...

if they do they will trade for a contract that expires next summer so they can go after Lebron with full force & pair him with Dwight ...rather then scrub Amare
