Default So what's Jimmy Bucket's ceiling?

Honestly, I never thought Butler would be this good offensively. I would've been happy with a defensive stud who could pitch in 12-14 ppg, mostly from 3 pt land. He has been amazing this season and it doesn't look like a fluke either, he has a legit post up game, he's shooting is improved and has always had a knack for drawing fouls, strong as an ox, too. Great thing is, he doesn't need to chuck away or be ball dominant to get his points either.

With his work ethic, his aggressive confident mindset, (he gave no fuqs on defending LeBron back when LeBron was good), this cat could be a 25-27 ppg perennial All Star.

He is now a top 10 player in the league. Can he rise to top 5 status next year? He is still a few years away from his peak years so he will continue to improve. The question is to what degree?

I think this season IS his ceiling. 22ppg, 6 rebs 3.5 ast and 1.5 steals while playing top 5 defense in the league is pretty ****ing ridiculous for a dude who barely got drafted in the first round and has been just decent for his first 3 years.

Sustain. That is all that is needed now on a team with Rose, Noah and Pau.

Nobody knows. His game is really well-rounded. He's playing D, hitting 3's, hitting midrange, playing on the post, making plays, getting to the line...

I do question his long-term stamina playing 40 minutes a night though.

He's overrated. The Bulls are stacked with lots of offensive ammunition. Teams aren't zoning in on Butler, so he's free to chuck away like he's playing by himself at the ballpark. Didn't he rent a cabin doing just that knowing nobody is going to give a sh*t about him defensively? This level of play isn't sustainable. He'll choke like Jeremy Lin when people actually pay attention.

Everyone loves comparing things. Linsanity was totally different. It is nothing alike at all. That dude is high.

As far as Jimmys ceiling, I will not even pretend to know.
