The Best Twilight Zone Episode
Well it's that time of year again. When they show a marathon of one of the greatest shows to have ever been made. And it has such a deep library, every year there will be an episode that I don't remember. And I remember... a LOT of them.
So I pose the question, of all the great episodes this show has produces, which is the best in your opinion?
For me the top 3 are as follows:
3. Time Enough At Last. (Absolutely iconic. Even if you don't know the show you know the famous ending).
2. The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street (Sterling at his finest satirizing ability).
1. A Stop At Whiloughby
HM: The Hitchhiker, The Invaders, and The Eye of the Beholder (Often a top pick but for me it's a bit played out and you lose a bit since everyone knows the twist).

Good college starter
Re: The Best Twilight Zone Episode
Never actually watched them, coz I was always freaked out just listening to the theme song. We watched Eye of the Beholder for a Life Skills class back in high school though and the class was pretty awestruck. I kinda saw it coming, but nonetheless was a pretty good story for me. If it was one of the better ones then I'd wanna watch those other ones you named.

I completely forgot about 3rd Planet From the Sun which should be coming on SyFy in a few minutes for all you on the West Coast.
I also forgot about the one where the guy is dreaming and he creates this big old world in it but he's put on trial and when they execute him the world ends because he wakes up. And it happens every night. I forget the name...

Re: The Best Twilight Zone Episode
This thread prompted me to see if Netflix had it streaming, which they do. Every episode from the original series is available. I've never cared for movies and TV shows in the Science-Fiction genre but have heard about this show and hhow good it was. So, even for someone that doesn't like Science-Fiction, would I be able to get into this show?

I always liked Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. The old Shatner version is good but I really like the remake.

I watched the first episode. Have to admit, I can see myself getting hooked if they've all got similar endings that you didn't see coming. I mean throughout the episode you knew it was going to have a twist ending (and the fact that you also know that's what the show has been known for all these years) but I couldn't figure out what it was going to be. A bunch of different thoughts ran through my head but not what ended up being the actual ending.

Yeah. The original is from the 60s and stars William Shatner but the remake is creepier imo because of the monster design. Lithgow was great.

Re: The Best Twilight Zone Episode
Watched the first 10 or so shows of the first season last night and this morning. Even though I've never been a SciFi person this show is pretty damn good.
Outside of the obvious (and I've only seen the first 11) Time Enough at Last, I also liked "One for the Angels", "Walking Distance", and "Escape Clause", and really liked the premise of "Judgement Night". I couldn't get into the actors/acting of "Judgement Night" very much, though.
And just because I've seen it over and over the last 24 hours on my TV screen, it's Rod Serling...not Sterling. I know it's a little thing but it just caught my eye after awhile.

Leonardo Dicaprio is planning to revive this show. Who do you think will be the perfect host?
