Neither one of them is blowing it away but I agree fmvp has to be one of the two. The tie breaker will have to be decided by who plays better through the next game.
Fixed that for ya.

curry was terrible in games 2 and 3 and especially in game 3
2 points midway through the third while your team is down by 30 is decent?

Throw in his two bystanding games in this Finals, and he has essentially been MIA in about HALF of his playoff games...and GS played much better in the games he missed.
If he doesn't do something spectacular in the rest of this series, his performance will go down as one of the worst FMVPs in NBA history.
And he certainly has locked it up yet, either. If Dray, Iggy, or even Klay step up huge in the remaining game(s)...well, it will be yet another Finals in which two regular season MVPs playing in the same Finals don't win the award.
In any case, his resume PALES in comparison to Kobe, who won two FMVPs, and was a major contributor in two more rings (they don't get past SA without his BRILLIANT play), and then another ring on top of that. And again, Kobe's BEST Finals were LIGHT YEARS better than NIC's.
With a FMVP...Chokurry will climb into the Top-35 or so.
Hes still better than mr 18ppg, 2/7

If Curry can have a stellar game 5, I'll give the edge to Curry. But I wouldn't be surprised at all even if Green wins it.
What did green do in game 3?
Nothing
What did he do in game 4? Not a thing.
I don't think he should be in the conversation. It's Curry then it's the rest of the dubs a level below.

You are amazing
Re: AMC FMVP secured
yeah, he's probably taking it home.
Statistically nobody on the warriors are even close to him. Impact wise too, he had a great game 2 and even better game 4 and then two way below average ones. Still better than anyone on GSW besides him

Embiid > Jokic
Re: AMC FMVP secured
If you look strictly at the numbers Curry's imo the front runner for FMVP; through 4 games
Curry: 21.5/5/5 44% (4.5 TO's per game)
Green: 15/9/6 42% (2 TO's per game)
Unless Green duplicates his Game 2 performance and greatly outplays Curry in Game 5, I just don't see how Curry doesn't win FMVP this year. Granted, I thought the same thing last year lol, so I guess you never know, but I would be surprised

Decent post. It really depends on the next game, your analysis fits mine. I expect Curry to step his game up though.

Right now Chokurry has played ONE quality game in this year's Finals...
and is averaging 21.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.8 apg (4.5 tpg) on a .611 TS%
Hmmm...that's almost as good as Chauncey's '04...
21.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 5.2 apg (2.6 tpg) on a .696 TS%.
Of course, Billups was a much better defender.
Someone mentioned Jo Jo White previously... '76 FMVP.
21.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 5.8 apg.

Game 2 from Curry was great, 15 points in like 15 minutes, practically no mistakes made. Just because they blew the Cavs out of the fockin way and Curry didn't need to do more doesn't make a 18-9-4 on 7/11 FG in 24 minutes not a quality game. In fact, he was great in G2, opened up the whole offense for his team with timely cuts and defensive attention previously unseen on the perimeter.

He was a bystander in game two. Nothing more. And as always, padded his pathetic stats in the 4th quarter with a 27 point lead.
Same thing in game one. Left the floor with GS leading by 8 points. The Warriors immediately jumped to a 20 point lead, and had the game well in hand. Kerr brought Chokurry back into the game, and the Cavs then went on a 9-0 run. Mild Bruise stayed in long enough to hit a meaningless 3 with the game locked up.
He has been a non-factor in three of these four games.

Unless Chokurry blows chunks in the rest of this series, the FMVP is his to lose. Having said that, though...yes, you are right...Iggy has actually been their best player (again) for most of this series. He just owns Lebron.
