Default Durant is a clear-cut MVP at this point

He's averaging 28.1ppg, 8 rpg, 4.8 apg, 1.6 stl, 0.9 blks, while shooting 49% from the field and 89% from the line. The Thunder are 24-5, tied for 1st in the Western conference, (the Heat is 22-6) while keeping in mind how tough the western conference is with even the 8th seed Dallas currently owning a 16-13 winning record.

Westbrook also missed a bunch of games in the beginning of the season, and will miss at least another month's worth of games.

How is Durant not MVP? Putting such efficient statistics while carrying the team. He deserves it no question.

When you are awarded them by the media they are pretty worthless. However, when you truly EARN them like KD in this case, they are worthy.

Let's be real. You don't want Durant to win it. Just as long as Lebron doesn't win it you will be happy.

I know you're just trolling Lebron fans, but if the season ended right now, I wouldn't mind Durant being the MVP. Lebron's stats are a little bit better, but Durant's team has a slightly better record against (I assume based on conference, I haven't actually checked) better competition.

I want the deserving player to get it.
KD leading his team to the top in the tough west right now, and without Westbrook?? While putting up those stats??

    There's just no argument. None.

Wade has missed more games than Westbrook.

A win against the bobcats without Westbrook makes you clear-cut MVP

Better is not the word. Superior competition is what I would say.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/standings

The western conference has 9 teams over .500, meaning one team over .500 is actually not in the playoffs, while the East only has 3 teams over .500

Toronto, Charlotte, Washington, Detroit, and Boston are currently in the playoffs right now in the East. What does that say about the East?

Durant needs more team wins like Rose in 2011 otherwise LeBron will get it.

"A a bunch of games without Westbrook..."

Westbrook has now missed 3 games this season.

Durant with the same number of Regular Season MVP as 18th year veteran Kobe Bryant. This is so amazing.

Love to see Durant wins an MVP. He's clearly a better player than Prime Nash and Prime Rose. These Point Guards have zero finals appearance.
