Empty Seats in Miami Ridiculous

Yes...I'm beating the dead horse. What gives? They just have this amazing road trip, they are playing the best basketball since they got together, Dwight Howard was in the house, and....empty seats. Not only that -- it's a seriously boring crowd.

Too bad this union couldn't have happened in Seattle or OK City or NY City or Philly - somewhere where it would be a madhouse every game.

Empty seats to watch these guys play? It's the most embarassing NBA fan situation I have seen outside of every Atlanta Hawk game.

They have poor fan support plain and simple. Miami is not a basketball city. Most people from Miami move from other parts of the country too. Once the Knicks fans outcheered Heat fans when the Knicks played at Miami and a reason being alot of people from New Jersey and New York live in the Miami area. Alot of old people down there too since alot of old timders move down to Florida.

Can't blame them with all the parties, and hot woman in Miami. I'm sure many of us would take seeing hot naked latin woman on the beach over watching grown gigantic sized men sweating on a wood floor.

But yeah.. the seats usually are empty just at the beginning. They fill up at the and of the first half

Noticed it early...but then it just stayed that way. Honest to God, we are not built that way in NE Ohio. Big Game = Big Crowd that gets there early and rocks.

It's just different. If these 3 can't generate energy, it's just not going to happen.

what game are you watching exactly? there are a few empty seats here and there, but its normal. people might have things to do, and not show up. its not like the magic are a must see team this year.

Milwaukee is almost twice Miami's population. Miami ain't that big, plus it's all broke Haitians/caribbeans and retired NY yids. Neither of which spend plentifully on professional sporting event tickets. And the ones who do show up are all shy, quiet, boring phony pretentious types.

Horrible sports city. Great city if you like yola and ignorant gorgeous Carribean girls.

For some reason, this notion persists that Miami doesn't turn out well for the Heat because it's a "football city."

Fact is, "The U" football games and Dolphins games have seen similarly abhorrent fan support.

It is just the worst sports city in the country and I don't think it is close. Atlanta is bad too, but at least they turn out for the Falcons and the Braves used to have great support.

Miami is just flat-out pathetic.
