deandre jordan's shooting percentage
Just checked out his stats. He might be the first player even to shoot above 70% for the season. Right now 73%. I know most of this are dunks and put backs. But still impressive putting up 10PPG on 73%.
Career Average 66%.
Not a single make outside the paint this season.

Brandan Wright is also over 70%. Not sure how many more attempts he needs to qualify for the leaderboard.

Wilt has shot over 70% and holds the single season fg% record.

Wilt scored 13.1ppg shooting 72.7% in 1973
Even more impressive 24.1ppg shooting 68.3% in 1967
The gap between his accuracy and the league average of his time is bigger than the gap between Deandre and today's league average. He was able to score that accurately in an era where getting easy backdoor plays was harder to accomplish in the paint. And Wilt didn't just score off them anyways, he scored off isolation post-ups too. Good for Deandre though, who knows if he'll get the record but it sure looks like he's got a chance this season.

How many of Wilt's records have been broken? By whom and when?
It's crazy that nobody broke this. We're in an era where most bigs basically only get backdoor passes and score of put backs, but Wilt stands on top, coming from an era where you had to create your points as a big.

This is why I don't find some big mens FG% all that impressive
when you can put the ball through the hoop without leaving the ground or with only a little bunny hop you should have a high FG%
Good points to score, great that they can be that efficient but it just shows they're doing their job.. for the bigs that make their living in the paint PPG are more telling than FG%

We would first need to know how many records Wilt once held upon retirement. I made a thread just recently to see if this was a feasible thing to try and figure out but it might not be there might just be too many to keep track of (It likely ranged in the several hundreds upon his retirement).

Why even label it shooting %. Should just be field goal % because he never shoots
