I already gave up on this team when the trade happened. After ~10 years of losing, things were finally looking up. We had high-character players that were unselfish and didn't complain. They played smart, they played hard, and they played team ball. Now that's all gone. I can't root for a team like this.

Thanks for Randolph Knicks, he put up 24, 15 and 2 blocks tonight. I remember after that trade people were trying to tell me that Brewer was the better player.

This is an overreaction thread. After the Carmelo Anthony trade anyone expecting a complete turn-around has a total misunderstanding of how basketball works in the NBA. This is a time-given process. This trade wasn't made for them to do something right now this very year. It was made to better them in the coming years with more of an impact than what they had.

At least the franchise is doing something now. At least they're getting the big-time players and making the effort to put a team on the court versus the Eddy damn Curry days.

Hopefully after this year they'll oust D'Antoni and bring in new culture to the team. If they keep him as coach they'll never be a contender for even a Finals appearance. They need to do something about their big-man situation next season. Hopefully they can address that.

AR's the man. It was such a steal that we got him. And more of a steal with the price the Wolves paid for him.

NY's defense will never be great as long as Melo is on the court.

Definitely a steal for Minny. They pulled the same deal for Beasley, which was an even bigger steal cause Miami needed the cap space. I was against the whole trade to begin with. I never wanted Melo on this team.

Knicks panicked and traded away the store to get Melo a few months early, during a year they weren't going to compete for a chip anyway.

exactly why i'm a nets fan. albeit they have sucked ass the past two years, they have always preached team ball and defense since i became a fan. they have always preached the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.

i actually almost gave up on them after they wasted time pursuing melo for 6 months and failed but instantly got back once they got deron, who's a winner.
