In the playoffs circa 2005 / 2007, Amare was UNREAL ... I remember dude just viciously throwing dunks down guys' throat. Not sure about the year, but his series' vs Dallas and SA were crazy.

A lot...but that shouldn't take away from how much of a beast young, healthy Amare was offensively.

Offense is more than scoring points... dozens of NBA bigs arguably scored better than Stoudemire... factor in assists, setting screens, keeping defenses honest off the ball? He's a 2 assist per-game player at his peak. The list of equal too-or-better impacting offensive bigs is going to be long, not short. I mean, people are going to rattle off the obvious guys like Robinson, Duncan, Olajuwon, Wilt, Shaq, Kareem... but is he better than Bob McAdoo? Elvin Hayes? or how about great passing bigs like Bill Walton? If we are comparing relative to competition, Mikan? Bob Pettit? The list of great offensive big men is large, HOF bigs that had great offensive (passing and scoring) used to be a staple of NBA basketball.

amare is the big man version of jordan. He wouldve been the next big thing since jordan if not for the injury. NBA became healthy that year because of him and nash.

Was adding to his list on the OP.

Forget about just offense..
What made Amare special was his defensive intensity, in terms of reaction speed and shot blocking which was UNREAL in his time
IMO his dominance on both ends of the floor, with phenomenal athleticism made him special in the mid 2000's
Here's a great example

Yes, offense is more than just scoring points... See: Dwight Howard
In some ways the two are similar offensively. Neither is a gifted passer whatsoever, neither is a player you're really going to run your offense through (en route to a championship) yet they can score efficiently and alot. But at least Amare had a midrange jumper, and you could more easily play him at either PF or C.
STAT was definitely a powerful scorer in his prime (pre-injury) but his basketball IQ is questionable imo and offensively he didn't necessarily scare me any more than say current Griffin, Jermaine Oneal in his best seasons, or 2006 Elton Brand. Sure he scored more but something to keep in mind is the free wheeling pace and style the Suns played in. Yet Amare did look ok in NYC for a minute. But nothing too great
