Not in terms of Embiid having exactly the same skillset, but in terms of big man with leg issues...Bynum struggled with his knees for a while and we got one solid season from him in 2012 and then he never played like that again...no doubt Embiid is a skilled big man and he will provide some solid offense in the low post, but the injuries will not go away if the stress fracture injury is really as bad as it was reported...

Sam Bowie had the same injury and missed 2 college seasons and broke down quickly in the pros. I'm not sure if I'd want my team to waste their lottery pick on another big man with leg issues...they don't go away.

Pau seems done to me...He can give us offense but he's so slow to get back on D and we'd get destroyed by P&R like we did last season because our defenders don't rotate nearly quick enough...It's time to let go and put some younger guys around Kobe. Embiid as a prospect is still a good one, especially at #7...but I don't like the fact that he's so damn injury prone, this wasn't his first leg injury this year..

I want us to be in a position to contend right now, maybe the Lakers will package Embiid in a deal to land an impact player. If NO could get Jrue for Noel (a big man coming off a much worse injury), we should at least be able to land a solid impact player.

It's the first time in a long while that I've been this excited coming into the NBA Draft.
