I wish fouls were reviewable in certain moments. They obviously can review some calls during the game, and they can make judgements such as this after the game, so why can't they review blatant calls and non-calls during critical moments in game?

A foul could be called on 98% of plays if refs saw fit.. doesn't mean harden doesn't get a lot more of them called than most.

He actually deserves most of them. You might not like how he plays the game but the way he extends his hands to bait the defense to try and deflect the ball from him by swiping down is a legit call.

Who determines what is blatant? Players whine for fouls on every possession, the game would last 4 hours.

The boy who cried wolves too many times. Harden lost his creditability.

Harden baited so many cheap fouls (some he initiated by fling his arm through defender, some just nothing there to call at all) in those situations.
In a game ending, deciding moments , esp in the playoff ref will just let it play out. you make it you win, you miss it you lose.

Well the NBA was able to say they blew this call. Wouldn't it be nicer if they could have done that during the game? Maybe make it so teams (coaches) are allowed to call for 1 reviewed play when the ball is stopped in the final 2 minutes of the game. And maybe the refs can determine if they need to review something. Then just have an auto tech for any player asking for a 2nd review, just as exceeding your timeout limit is an auto tech.

If that's true, and Houston only shot 5 free throws all game, when they're #6th in the league in FTA, it would seem borderline point shaving does it not?

That's the one problem I have with this NBA transparency on fouls.. they talk about one or two fouls missed or called wrong in a 48 minute game..
if you're going to be transparent be completely transparent not selectively because this serves no purpose.. it's not like they're going back and replaying the last few seconds or overturning the win

they should send both teams back to the court and let Harden shoot those freethrows then play out the game. wouldn't that be awesome?
