the system elevates him at times but last year about a third of curry's points were coming on ridiculous off the dribble threes, how does that have anything to do with fit?

indeed, my worry is that the reason we'll see him go backwards with durant is now, with the most efficient scorer in the league beside him, he can no longer justify ignoring his teammates and try to make insane shots from 30 feet out, even though he actuall converts them at an extremely good percentage.

as to the argument, the reason people say curry is over-rated is his shooting was so good last year that it defies logical sense, people have to humanise what he was doing. normally when you have the best at something the second best is only an infentesimal amount behind, but curry's shooting last year is incomparable and if he was the benchmark then the most you could say about anyfrom from klay to allen to bird is that they were just quite good.

It's because the team and the players allow Curry to shoot those ridiculous off the dribble 3s and heat checks, etc, and no one cares, and there are no ego issues.

On any other team, odds are that would create tension. Even if everyone were to recognize that it's motherf***ing Steph Curry, that doesn't mean they would not be upset that he's taking such "ridiculous" shots. And along those same lines, Steph would recognize that and take less "ridiculous" shots, because he cares about his teammates.
