LeBron fans torch Kobe for missing the playoffs in 2005. Even though Kobe missed around 20 games and his head coach retired midway

With that in mind, if LeBron's Lakers dont make the playoffs it should count against him. How much? I don't know. It gives credence to the "east=cakewalk" argument though.

Throw in a retired head coach and you'd probably have a point.

Whoa a coach? No COTY Phil this time? COTY D'antoni? COTY Brown? COTY Scott? The chemistry change

The standard for Kobe bar is real lowsy putting it on a coaching change

Meanwhile 2nd yr Luke Walton jumping from first year lottery to 4th seed immediately

    Yes. A coach.

You know, those guys owners sign that give teams structure and stability?

The 2005 Lakers played in two different systems after Rudy T retired. You go from a HOF coach...to Frank Hamblen. Frank Hamblen who never saw a head coaching position again. I never even mentioned Odom missing 15 games

And Luke Walton? Guy had a better winning percentage with the Dubs than Kerr did.

    "Kobe bar" for sure though.
