Spurs would still find a way to beat them.

Still there's no post player on that team so that means no championship.

That would certainly be better than their current team.

Barbosa wasn't jack **** on that team. He was good for about 6 points 5 turnovers a game. It was essentially a 7 man rotation with Steven Hunter who might have had worse hands than Kwame Brown. Jim Jackson was great that year.

Tim Duncan made that team his *****. If Amare wasn't such a poor defender that year they could have easily gotten and taken the finals.

Wrong. 100% wrong. Amare had one of the most dominant postseasons I've ever seen and Duncan admitted that Amare dominated him. From 05-07 guys like Nazr Mohammed and Erick Dampier dominated the offensive boards. Quite frustrating.

Marion sure could. I thought Johnson could, too.

Not enough of them could play defense.

At least they were fun.

Bryan Colangelo left and just about every decision from then on regarding player and coaching management has been bad.

Sad how Sarver wanted to run a fiscally responsible team and field a team that was "just good enough" to be a favorite instead of paying to field an "overwhelming favorite." He'll probably lose more money this way from attendance and fan anger. With the exception of San Antonio, it is very hard to win the championship on a budget.
