Default Can or will this team be dominant?

    So hypothetical scenario

    What if

There is a team in the NBA who:

    - Only has half of the salary cap

    - Cannot have any current or former all star

    - Only start drafting in the 2nd round

    BUT

it can play with six players on the floor

Everything else is just slightly above NBA teams average (market size, weather, city, facility, management, etc)

Would this team be one of the contenders on most years?

Of course... they always have an open man on attack.

Is this a joke? They would be a dominant team. Having an extra man on the court? That is like such a HUGE advantage.

This team would generate like 15-20 steals every game. I would straight up zone. Put 4 guys on the perimeter and prevent any 3s and 2 guys down low. You can't lose. The opposition would literally be suffocated and would find it so hard to score.

What if they also cannot have current or former All-NBA and All defense.

This team would be full of Corey Brewers.

I've seen 5v6 and while it is a huge advantage, many times talent beat numbers.

    Interesting thought.

An NBA power play should be the punishment for abusing the hack-a-Shaq rule.
