Impressive. Olajuwon averaged more steals than Lebron over his career. How is that possible?

He is 6-7 and 3/4 of an inch tall. His measurements are posted on draftexpress.

I disagree emphatically with anyone who suggests he grew after that too, he was already 20 years old at that time and he's STILL shorter than his dad, who listed at 6-9 in an era where list heights more closely followed biological height.

If he's so physically inept, how come so many athletic lanky players cant match his rebound total? (Durant, Bosh)
because he doesn't play defense and instead goes for the rebound... has nobody ever watched Love play?

Dude, doesn't matter how little defense the guy plays. 26/12 is ****ing insane, even moreso as an unathletic 6'8" white guy. Not to mention he is one of the guys who takes the most 3pt shots in the league.

That's pretty insane, actually. Do you know if most of his steals came from passes into the post, or did he just strip his man?

I had no idea it was that easy to lead the league in rebounds. Everyone has it in them! Just do what he's doing because obviously he's not talented in any way!

I'd disagree and using stats in a different era to prove that point is inherently flawed.

It's really easy Moe. All you have to do is not play defense and go for the rebound. Usually works 12.5 times a game, on average.

And there was Baylor, who was a much better rebounder than Lebron. We don't know about steals or blocks.
Love plays power forward and Lebron plays like a guard.

Dr J and Baylor are 2 of the greatest rebounding small forwards ever, in terms of numbers.

What are you trying to prove?

That doesnt make him undersized, if you guys say he's really 6'7 1/2 then so is every other 6'9 - 6'10 power forward

    Therefore not undersized

    who said he was undersized?

6-7 and 3/4 is his height ...and yes, other powerforwards in the league are also that height. Tristan Thompson is also exactly 6-7 and 3/4 without shoes. Lebron James 6-7 and 1/4. Kevin Durant 6-9. Blake Griffin and Amare Stoudemire 6-8.5. Just go to draftexpress.com/measurements. Just about every player you've ever thought you knew how tall they were, is shorter than they are listed by an average of about an inch or two. Though Kevin Love's listed info is off by a rather generous 2 and 1/4 inches.

yes, that's correct. most of them are 6'7" or 6'8" same as ever. it's amazing people last season were calling Kevin Durant a 7 footer.

True. I think the worst part is people think the "standard" height for PGs is 6'3", SGs (should be) 6'6", SFs ~6'8", PFs 6'10" and Cs 7' and if you aren't that height you are "undersized".

Many players at those positions are not that height. Sure, many are, but it's far from a standard. For example Timmy is 6'11" barefoot. People don't understand how rare true 7', as in 7' barefoot, truly are.

I think Shaq and Hibbert are true 7 feet barefoot

Even Sim Bhullar is only 7'3 1/2

Tim Duncan? He's actually more like 6-10 barefoot, he and Bill Russell looked pretty much identical in height standing next to each other. His teammate Robinson was 7-0 without shoes though, according to his 1988 Olympic measurement. Your point is correct though, people have a bias to think of players and positions as being a certain size.

5-11-6-2 is normal as far as point guards go

6-2 to 6-5 is normal for shooting guards

6-5 to 6-7 is normal for small forwards

6-7 to 6-9 is normal for power forwards

6-9 and up is normal for centers

I'm taking biological heights of course, not list info
