Again, there is definitely some cultural work at play though. They've been conditioned to keep their heads down at all times.

Wow, that's interesting. I read a bit about the Bystander Effect, I would've totally guessed that the more people there are the more likely people would get involved, sort of a strength by numbers, but the opposite actually happens.

These escalator scares me to death. I always use normal stairs when I am by myself.
