That is my point though. You don't have to pay Asik...he's actually worth something. You could just move him. And get back even more. I'm not sure why fans struggle to see how it gives you options.

Also, getting a first round pick back for Melo is way better than "nothing"...especially because that is exactly what the Knicks need....picks.
