Why are European NBA players more well spoken than American players?

Shaq, a German, is one of the best analysts on TV, and carries the TNT show. IDK, most of the best speakers in the NBA are from other countries. Rubio, Gasols, Dirk, etc. I think English is taught better in Europe than hear.

KD is just shy I think. But someone like Lebron, yeah, he sounds like he's speaking a completely different language from the one I speak. I think it's mostly to do with disliking white culture and not wanting to conform. Proper English is "speaking white" to them, so they have created their own form of the English language. I don't really blame guys like Lebron for that either, because that's what they were taught and grew up with so that's why they never attempted to learn to speak "proper" English.

Im stunned how much more interesting it was to listen to Dirk Nowitzki than it was listening to Kevin Durant.

Usually European players in other sports are boring as hell. But the Euro NBA players. Nowitzki, Parker, Gasol brothers, Kobe Bryant(grew up in Europe) etc. sound like a intelligent lot.

If you listened to that interview, KD had only 2 hours of sleep and was very tired.

Roy Hibbert was the most interesting out of the bunch.

these are generally not well spoken guys

you see guys like chris bosh who are rich very smart etc and he is well spoken

like i've said they run through programs in media and public speaking at the AIS and exum has grown up in a culture where he isn't really treated any differently to a regular kid even though he's good at basketball. Look at AFL players if your in Australia though, some of those guys sound like they've never matured just like some of the nba players do.

They do media training in college and NBA as well.
