Default Kobe's 3-peat stats in perspective

Kobe averaged 22/5/4 pr. 36 during the 3-peat at age 21-23

Lebron averaged 23/7/5 pr. 36 during his Miami playoffs at age 26-29.

    .?. Are you...confused?

Kobe's 3-peat stats are as follows:

    14 NBA Finals games
22/6/5/1.3/1.2 on 42% FG with an average GameScore of 15.73

Scottie's 3-peat stats are as follows:
21/9/7/1.94/0.9 on 46% with an average GameScore of 17.2

This would mean that if you compare the two as second options in the Finals Kobe scores 1 more point on much less efficiency and Pippen grabs more rebounds and assists and steals on better FG% with a higher GameScore. This would mean that Pippen still wins as the GOAT second option.

You included Kobe's worst Finals to drag his stats down

To be fair, you should include Pippen's worst Finals and then compare

Kobe's 01 and 02 stats are better than anything pippen ever did

And Forget 3 Finals - I just showed you about 25 Finals in the previous post where the 2nd option played better than pippen ever did

And Pippen is the worst 2nd option of any team that won 3+ rings (Russell, Kareem, Kobe, Curry, Mchale)

And here's 4 Finals for lebron:

    - Wade averaged 24/6/5 in the 11-13 Finals

    - Wade was better in 2011 and 2012'... And kyrie in 16' and 17'... That's 4 Finals...

Kareem was better in 80', 82' and 87..... Or magic was better in 80', 85', 88'... However you want to look at it ..

    Kobe 00-02'

    Isiah 88' and 89'

And again, I just showed you about 25 Finals in the previous post where the 2nd option played better than pippen ever did

Well if Gamescore matters all of a sudden..

Why did Wade in 2012 and 2013 have higher Gamescores than LeGOAT in 2011?

LeBron and Bird were never 2nd options. 3braincells strikes again.

Maybe because Lebron has very pedestrian pr. 36 stats and has basically been propping up his stats by playing waaaay too many minutes for years.

Kobe averaged more points in 2001 & 2002 Playoffs at ages 22-23 than prime Lebron in a modern era in 2013 & 2016.

    2001 Kobe vs 2013 Lebron

    Kobe: 29/7/6
    Lebron: 26/8/7

Peak Lebron vs 22 y.o Kobe. Kobe played in the toughest defensive era & wasn't in his prime yet.

    .
Every team that made 3+ Finals since the ABA merger had a better 2nd option than 91-93' Pip for at least 2 Finals

    2nd options:

    Magic (84', 85', 88)

    Bird (81', 85', 86')

    Curry (17', 18', 19')

    Kareem (80', 82, 87')

    Kobe (01', 02')

    Duncan (07' and 14')

    Dr. J (82' and 83')

    Isiah (88' and 89')

    Kyrie (16' and 17')

^^^ Pippen is not in this tier

Plus many other teams that made 1 or 2 Finals had better 2nd options too:

    Penny (95')

    Robinson (99')

    Garnett 08'

    Dwight 09'

    Terry 11' (comedic addition)

    Wade 12'

    Westbrook 12'

    .

kobe saved the season twice in 2000 ( wcf game 7, finals game 4 )

then carried the lakers to the finals in 2001 averging 33/7/6

then had an all time historically great 2nd leading scoring average in the 2002 finals averaging 27ppg that only kyrie topped in 2016

    he earned all 3 rings

lebron has still yet to win a ring without

    a) ring chasing

    b) colluding

    c) suspensions

    d) steroids

    and

    e) lockouts or bail outs
