I'm sorry, but Marc Gasol is just not good enough to be the MVP, no matter what his team record is.

He's a great defender and team player, but his scoring average is below 20ppg, he is not a good rebounder, and his field goal percentage is pretty low for a center.

Harden and Curry are both clearly ahead of him.

The obvious MVP, and it's a joint award this year, is Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

OKC was 3-12 in their first fifteen games in their absence. Now that they are back, the Thunder have won five straight games and seven of their last eight. They've been back two weeks and already has their team one game back in the loss column to the currently eighth seeded Phoenix Suns.

What's shows their value more than that? My vote is for first ever co-MVP's.

Sure if Gasol would rebound in the double digits that'd be nice, but its still 20/8 on 50% with top defense.

Those 7 wins came against 6 bad teams + the Cavs without Lebron.

Hard to tell if they have been playing well or not when the competition is that easy.

Right now, it's Harden for sure. He's playing short handed, balling his ass off, and maintaining 4th seed in the West.

Honestly, if the season ended today he's the mvp no question. I haven't seen him enough this season to say if he's playing less like a jackass, but the results deserve respect either way.

In that case no player in the East should be on the ladder.

LeBrons taking a 33 win team to be on pace for 50+ wins

Don't see why he's not clear cut #1

Houston is 3rd in the West. But yeah, Harden is the MVP.
