Did you know BOSTON was in the 8th playoff spot?
, how did the Celtics sneak into the 8th playoff spot, I don't follow standings that closely, but I thought they had one of the worst records in the NBA. I guess getting rid of Rondo wasn't that bad huh.

Re: Did you know BOSTON was in the 8th playoff spot?
Let me give you an extensive explanation for this phenomenon:
The way the Celtics and the Heat have cringed on to the last 2 playoffs spots at first glance might f*ck the mind, but fear not, it has a simple explanation. You see, with the success tanking teams have had in rebuilding their franchise, has given a rise in teams tanking like animals, passing up on those lower seeds, that limbo of mediocrity that say, the Hawks have been in up until this year. Teams that get those spots typically are young teams playing hard, with up and coming talent, this is what has happened with Boston. The talent that they have gathered has gained chemistry, cohesiveness, and it's a real pleasure to watch out there, acquiring Thomas from the Suns was a huge move, wanted him on the Lakers, but that is another story. There is not much to gain from a 4-5 playoff series loss, if you are a team full of veterans, but for an up and coming team, that experience is priceless, look at the Hawks last year for example, that's why I think the Bucks will have a great season next year, for the experience that they will get. Some teams don't take the next step after playoff experience, take for example the Hornets. Once you collect a definite amount of assets, there is a decreasing marginal value for tanking, hence why the Wolves next year probably will not tank, cause they will be stacked to the teeth with young talent.
