Monta has always been a good player. He gets hated on because he wasn't able to carry some of the garbage teams he has played on in the past.

After the 07' team got blown up there were a lot of garbage years for the warriors.
As for the Steph became MVP as soon as Monta left is false. Curry was developing his game still and Klay is better than Monta and a much better fit. The main problem with Monta is that he needs to play with a tall guard because he cannot handle tall shooting guards defensively.
