Chandler Parsons is a glorified role player

This is after witnessing 3 seasons of Parsons ball.

The role he was given in Houston could not have been more suited for him. Yes he put up good numbers, but ANYONE in that situation (2nd offensive option, 2nd most ball possession) would put up numbers like that. Kevin McHale was also a major supporter of him regardless of any careless TO's he made. He was given a very long leash.


Now with the Mavericks he is being exposed. His contract is untradable and unless his shooting and defense improves, I'd say he has the worst contract in the league.


Having said that I think Parsons is a swell guy and a great representative for white basketball. But his skills are laughably overrated.

I like Parsons, but not at that price tag. Really happy that Morey did not match.

It's sorta true. He's trying to build a winner. We struck out on the big time FA's during the offseason but I'm just happy he made moves to free up space to try and nab one. They all stayed put so we really didn't lose to another team.
