I'm sure you're right. That was probably the first time I ever read or heard any sort of excerpts from the owner(that I can remember), but he just came off as a lunatic. And then I started thinking "Hmmm, maybe Lebron was justified after all..."

Also keep in mind that, reportedly, Gilbert had spent all of the time after the loss to the Celtics trying to reach out to LeBron. He just wanted to discuss LeBron's off-season agenda and gauge how James was feeling.

LeBron refused to answer any of his calls or texts for a month. He cut off all contact with Gilbert, the guy who has poured millions upon millions of dollars into that organization. Sure, LeBron was also responsible for the team earning millions, as well, but you could have the decency to respond to a guy that has shown he would do whatever it took to make you happy.

LeBron finally agreed to meet with Gilbert just before the FA period started and, I've heard, it was brief upon LeBron's insistence.

Gilbert went way over-the-top on LeBron in that letter and I hated that decision, but James had done everything in his power to unleash an emotional reaction from him.

James could have at least had the decency to call Gilbert the day of 'The Decision' and tell him that he isn't coming back. He made Dan sit and watch just like the rest of us.

As a Pistons fan I can't get enough of it.

That is hard for me to imagine. I realize that we are rivals and all, but this goes beyond all of that, does it not? You think that the way LeBron handled this thing was justified and that Cleveland fans deserved that spectacle and kick in the nuts in front of the world?

On some level, you have to be able to relate to us... Especially since sports in Michigan are about as big as they are in Ohio.

Gilbert was like Lebron's father figure giving Lebron everything he wanted and trying to be there for him.

Lebron never had a father and had no idea what to do when he had someone who was looking out for him and treating him like that. So what does he do? He sabotages the one father figure relationship he has.

No because you could tell since high school that he was full of himself and totally conceded. You could see with the Cavs that he has no heart. You could see his front running sports fandom at least with the clothes he sports. I just don't see why everyone is so shocked.

I've also seen Jack Morris and Fedorov suit up for another team. It hurts, you get over it.
