Its called playing hard. the American mind set especially in sport is to complain or snitch or flop etc.

Same reason why the usa leads the world in the amount of law suits. In rugby its a matter of you hit me ill hit you back harder. Complaining to the ref or your mum or the cops is the ***** way out. But when you put our sportsman in america we are perceived as dirty.
