Knicks aren't committed to anyone other than Melo and Calderon... possibly JR if he doesn't opt out. Other than that, clean canvas. Their whole team could be different next season if he doesn't like what he sees now.

Why are they committed to Calderon ? He's basically a stop gap PG at this point. 33 years old, he is who he is as a journey man. Everyone outside of Melo should be replaced really.

Jackson is garbage. His Lakers last got swept by Dallas in the playoffs and NY thinks he's gonna work a miracle. Waiting 2-3 from now for what? For until melo watch on crutches?

I am only talking about in terms of contracts still on the books. But other than Rondo, there aren't any other options. And Rondo can't shoot, so he isn't a good fit for the triangle.

I think that Phil struck out on Kerr and overpaid a buddy of his.

Fisher may turn out to be awesome, who knows. Still to early to have a solid judgment on Phil's tenure though.

He got two second round picks, Calderon, and expirings in exchange for Felton and a disgruntled Chandler. I'd say in a vacuum, that's not an awful trade, considering Felton has a player option for 2015-2016. He got two young wings in Cleanthony Early & Greek Freak 2 because of this trade.

Granted, Calderon's deal runs for two more years after this season, but he also has probably the highest BBIQ on the Knicks roster right now. Great floor spacer and heady on offense. Terrible defender, but maybe they can hide him a bit potentially. Worst-case scenario you stretch his contract, but he's not a total scrub.
