Champions 10 years later - do they still hold up?
only listing decades from the modern era:
1971 bucks- do they beat the 1981 celtics?
1981 celtics- do they beat the 1991 bulls?
1991 bulls- do they beat the 2001 lakers?
2001 lakers- do they beat the 2011 mavs?
i feel the bulls don't stack up very well, while the celtics do. i have them winning their hypothetical matchups vs the 1971 bucks and 1991 bulls.
which series' do you guys think would be the most competitive btw?

The Bucks easily beat the Celtics
The Bulls beat the Celtics
Lakers-Bulls is really tough, I'd prob give the slight edge to the Lakers
And the Lakers easily beat the Mavs

Hmmm. Well the 1991 Bulls were the weakest of the dynasty IMO, but I'm not sure they lose to the 1981 Celtics who were several notches below the 1986 and even the 1987 team. As a betting man, you would probably give them the best shot to win both their respective hypotheticals though.
The 1991 Bulls and 2001 Lakers series would be absolutely must-see.

@kuniva- yes, the 01 lakers and 91 bulls series would be sports porn. one of the greatest scorers vs the goat center in his peak.

Nobody, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good series. MJ in peak form is must-see tv by himself...

'71 Bucks would've clearly beaten the '81 Celtics.
'81 Celtics would've lost against the '91 Bulls.
Imo, the '01 Lakers would've won vs the '91 Bulls but that would've been an extremely close series.
'01 Lakers would've won vs the '11 Mavericks.

15 warriors > 05 spurs
14 spurs > 04 pistons
13 heat > 03 spurs
12 heat > 02 lakers
11 mavericks < 01 lakers
10 lakers < 00 lakers
