Default What If the Charlotte Hornets never traded Kobe Bryant?

How many Championships would the Hornets have won if Kobe played for this team?

Kobe is going to be the starting shooting guard in his Rookie Season. Hornets starting lineup in the 1996-1997 NBA Season.

    C- Matt Geiger
    F- Anthony Mason
    F- Glenn Rice/Ricky Pierce
    G- Kobe Bryant/Dell Curry
    G- Muggsy Bogues

    Coach: Dave Cowens

In Alphawolf24 and Ne1 words. Kobe is gonna be a Afro Headed Dominique Wilkins. Kobe might win multiple scoring titles, and probably at least 1 MVP Award if the Hornets have a great regular season record in his prime. He'll probably sign with a big market team once his rookie contract expires. (Bulls, Lakers, Knicks, Magic take your pick). No chance in hell that Kobe is capable of leading the 1990's and early 2000's Hornets into an NBA title without a dominant PF/C/Phil Jackson.

Don't think the Hornets would have drafted him if they didn't already have the trade to LA in place. He was too big of a risk for #13.

Inferior version of Tracy Mcgrady with better longevity.

Zero Rings with a slight chance at 1MVP.

Kobe has only been the best player on his own team for 1/5 Chips. (2009)

Without having Prime Shaq to ride on and then Prime Gasol + Stacked team the Kobrick isn't winning anything outside of perhaps a few scoring titles.

Kobe is probably another great player without any titles.

He was already one of the best HS players during his time. Kobe is still going to be a lottery pick. He'll probably end up playing for the Bulls or the Lakers if things do not work out in Charlotte.

She might still be your aunt depending on your uncles sexual preference.

If Kobe had that team he'd average 40/10/10 and win atleast 9. Now he has to play with "Derek Fisher"

What if the OP only made relevant threads?

    This thread wouldn't exist.

What if you become a good poster, and starts to contribute in this thread?

This is actually a good discussion. I don't have any agenda. I just want to see how Kobe would perform if he had become the Hornets franchise player as an 18 yrs.old Rookie.

T-Mac route. Scoring titles, MVP votes, All NBA teams, and multiple 1st round exits.

He wouldn't be as hated of a player but he also won't get as much publicity as he would in a huge market like LA.

Eventually, in the advent of these superteams, someone would eventually join him or he leaves for....LA....to play with CP3 and Blake Griffin.
