Re: If Kobe would have let the Nets draft him and he played there for 7 years
West encouraged the Bryant family to talk to Calipari and explain that their son really wanted to play for the Lakers. “He knew if we didn’t take him at eight, he’d drop to Charlotte, and he could make the deal with Charlotte,” Wissel recalled. “Cal was young in the league and, hey, it’s Jerry West on the phone.”
But Kobe just wanted to play basketball, right? He chose riding the pine 2yrs for the 2nd most successful franchise in the history of the league, than try to build one in NJ.
Kobe in NJ his first 7 years....ZERO rings.

But Kobe would have "allegedly" been so great by starting his rookie year and beyond in NJ, how good of players would they have gotten by drafting so low with Kobe carrying the team??

^You just implied That the nets would be bad with young Kobe at the reins, and then assumed a bad team wouldn't have a chance at a high draft pick

None. Unless the Nets still trade for Kidd, then maybe he'd have 1 with Kidd as the Finals MVP.

Kidd was a good mentor to Vince Carter when he came to New Jersey. He would have guided Kobe under him too, especially when Kobe was younger at the time. I think Kobe got along well with his teammates that were guards (Eddie Jones, Byron Scott, Fisher) than his big men (Shaq, Samaki Walker, Rodman).
East was weak around those times too. No doubt I see Kobe winning chips, at least getting to the Finals at worst.

You're contradicting yourself.
If the East was so weak and the West was so much better, how would he be winning chips in NJ?

Not a contradiction. I acknowledge that the West is better, but the same reason the Pistons, Celtics, and Heat have won in past years while being in a weaker conference... by beating the other team in the Finals in a best of 7 series.
There's no doubt in my mind they would already be the best team in the East, with not many teams challenging their reign. Especially if you have a Kidd/Bryant backcourt. That's easily the best backcourt in the game at that time.

OP keeps putting "allegedly" in context of Kobe being so good as if Kobe hasn't been pretty damn good In his career.
Why not just admit you created this thread to be a pain in the ass?

Because he's trying to fake objectivity in order to make Kobe look bad without seeming biased.
