I dunno who will be top but it'll be close.

People hating on Wall...his instinct for the game is mediocre? the guy has no jumper and he lets himself get pushed too far away from the rim. That's it, the rest is on that sorry excuse for a franchise.

Can't wait for him to get out of there.

ted leonsis is turning this shit around you'd better believe it.

    Yes.

If Kobe is afraid to play him 1v1 then he must be something special. Though I don't see him staying in CLE.

There are so many great PGs, it's unsure who'll be the next great one. Kyrie's good in a manner that CP3 and Isiah in which distribution and clutch scoring occur with good decision making. He's not a traditional PG, but the traditional PG will not die with Rubio still staying healthy.

    is that logic more sound?

Kyrie has potential to be top 5 or even top 3 Pg's in nba history.

    This.

It's funny how people downplay all time great talents in the early stages of their career.

I'm going to go with a no on this one, and im a big Kyrie fan.

Purely because I think pg's who score first, or have to carry a heavy scoring burden arn't the 'best' point guards.

I hope he proves me wrong, and definitely has the potential to.

    1.Magic Johnson
    2.Oscar Robertson
    3.Kyrie Irving?

He will be a better outside shooting D. rose/ R. westbrook type of player. Which is damn good. Another undersized shooting guard.

He knows what he's doing more than Westbrook does already.

Westbrook has serious potential for the history books though , I could see him being the best scorer in the league in a couple years, which is stupid considering Durant will be his competition.

Those 2 just have too much potential.

I think an interesting question would be: who would you rather have right now on a 5 year max contract: Westbrook or Irving...

how can you make proper reads playing with McGee and nick young and rashard Lewis, Gilbert arenas before and Jordan Crawford hahahahahaha he hasn't played with 1 decent player. And his defense reminds me of Gary Payton dont sleep on him just watch
This is all fair. He does play with some of the most remarkably stupid players I've ever seen; and more importantly, no smart ones. No mature ones either.

But you can still tell the great from the pretty good as far as PGs go, no matter who they're surrounded with. He may have *vision*; he may make a bunch of really sweet passes a game; but court sense is bigger than that. He doesn't have that sixth sense like a Paul or a Williams. He's more athletic than anyone at the PG spot I've seen other than D. Rose. That makes up for a little. But it doesn't make the best PG in the NBA. It doesn't make a top 5 player, a HOFer.

That said I do think I've been a bit hard on him in this thread. I would probably say yes he does have the talent to be on the lower end of the top 10. But he has a long way to go.

Wall vs Irving argument is closer than some fans want to give. It can go either way at this point. As far as upside and who I see fullfilling their potential and living up to expectations? Easily Irving for me. Once he improves his terrible defense and gets more players involved in the offense? He'll be good to go. Already an excellant shooter and has the clutch gene working for him. Sky the limit for dude. Wall I'm unsure what he becomes. That jumper needs a Derrick Rose makeover.

One day yes but not anytime soon imo. Cavs had no scorers last season so he had to shoot a lot. His clutch shooting is amazing!

Hearing how the Olympic team raved about him has my hopes up though. I heard he killed Westbrook.

If Rondo could shoot he'd be the best pg I ever seen play.

Kyrie could be the best player in the league, not just at his position. Whether he gets there or not is up to him, but the Cavs got a good one.
