Bird looked like a cripple moving in slow-motion in those last 2 seasons. It was amazing he was as productive as he was.

Well, if you can point to any of the 4th qtr jumpshots as not being contested you win a set of steak knives.

I know it makes you feel like a purist to say that the Jazz "allowed" 60 points on them, but I'm sorry. This was perfectly adequate regular season defense.

And even beyond that...try look at this game in two half's.

The first 3 qtrs was a fairly inefficient exhibition performance in what looked like a potential blowout loss.

The 4th was pure greatness. No asterisk. Period.

It's not really up for debate.

The nba is becoming more and more of a show than actual basketball. But as a player I respect Kobe. He had some of that old school competitiveness in him..few players have that nowadays. At least with him you didn't have any of the soft buddy buddy antics of today's players.

Bird was a freaking beast. That last game...wow. That's with a bad back and post torn achilles tendons.

How can people revise history about something that literally just happened 2 days ago? The Jazz defended Kobe ALL game, they didn't give him anything. Go watch the game.
