It's not about his game being built to last longer. It's about his body being able to last that long. 23 years in the NBA is no joke. Combine that with playoff runs and IIRC, it would be 25+years. That's a little ridiculous to think. I don't necessarily doubt that he could do it, but I think it's more likely he slows up to the point where he retires first.

Then again, if they keep getting talent, who knows.

It all depends on how Kobe adjusts his body in terms of his off-season and really what team he has around him.

Alot in Lakerland are hoping Bynum does pan out and he can be one of the main focal points on the interior. Hopefully he stays healthy.

You're right it could be a tall order but if anybody can work enough and adjust It's Kobe. As I said it depends on his motivation and how many rings he does win in the next 2-4 years too.

I'm laughing at the fact of Kobe playing 25+ years in the league at age 40. That is truly some crazy shit. I've only really heard of one other guard that could probably do something like that. It would definitely be something to see.

I'm well aware of how many minutes he has played but I also know what kind of worker Kobe is in terms of working out and staying injury free. He was at 29, 7 and 6 last year..there is no reason why he won't keep up those numbers for a good amount of years yet.

But at the end of the day we can't predict the future so who knows.
