Default Re: What's going on with Miami's defense?

The Spurs coaching staff has clearly done a pretty thorough study on how the Heat defend in the half court and they drew up a game plan to exploit the many glaring flaws they saw.

Constant ball movement, guys constantly moving without the ball, tons of screens being set...and not just screens for the hell of it, usually always screens in just the right place so the right guy is getting the ball and seeing several options available.

The Spurs have had to make relatively few adjustments in the series while Miami has flat out failed to make any in the three games they've lost and the one game the Spurs choked away. They're relying purely on talent to try and haul them out of some 10-20 point deficits and its not working this time around.

Pop is playing Chess...Spoelstra is playing Tiddly-Winks.

Heat are not as good defensively as they used to be, not even that close, also... And they didn't face a great offensive team in the Playoffs, in the East.
    Basically this.

The Heats defense is aimed at stopping a modern offense. The Spurs play old school basketball.
