Its always hilarious seeing LEASTern conference supporters bark about their supposed defensive superiority. Its easy to look good defensively when u have so many shit offensive teams in ur conference.

Miami relies heavily on traps and athleticism. Theyre older now Lebron is a negative on defense

Whats going on is the Spurs do not utilize ANY perimeter isolation. Thats what is responsible for that 45% league average.

The Spurs shoot a high % bc they take high % shots. Theres no secret to it. They play smart basketball, not And-1 street iso ball.

The Spurs in game 3 were more on fire and couldn't miss. I think I would excuse that game.

The other games tho isn't inexcusable. While the Spurs are a great offensive team, the Heat have to play with more energy on defense.

That's just terrific offense They look for the best shots, they take advantage of mismatches, they don't stagnate the ball or milk the clock purposedly, they have good shooters, players that can score inside, they're very smart with high IQ, they can push up the tempo, they're just amazing at moving the ball... I'd say, some great throwback basketball at its finest, if that happened back in the day some people would be talking about terrible defensive era and what not though, fact is that it's much harder to play D against great offensive basketball, keep bringing up that 'more complex defensive schemes' bullshit though
Heat are not as good defensively as they used to be, not even that close, also... And they didn't face a great offensive team in the Playoffs, in the East.
