If this reporting is accurate and the special councel's office has learned, through various sources, that Trump directed Cohen to commit perjury before Congress - information that was subsequently confirmed by Cohen himself - would that not be obstruction of justice on Trump's part?

Trump's new nominee for AG certainly thinks it is.

In his forthcoming book, Chris Christie really criticizes Trump's hirings, those with whom he has surrounded himself, and of course, Jared Kushner.

Quote:
They are amateurs, grifters, weaklings, convicted and unconvicted felons” who “were hustled into jobs they were never suited for, sometimes seemingly without so much as a background check via Google or Wikipedia.

Quote:
They set loose toxic forces that have made Trump’s presidency far less effective than it would otherwise have been... If this tragedy is ever going to be reversed, it is vital that everyone know exactly how it occurred.

Quote:
Steve Bannon … made clear to me that one person and one person only was responsible for the faceless execution that Steve was now attempting to carry out. Jared Kushner, still apparently seething over events that had occurred a decade ago...

Quote:
The kid’s been taking an ax to your head with the boss ever since I got here

Most should already know the story, but here's a reminder as to why there was bad blood between Kushner and Cristie.

Quote:
Christie was the US attorney in New Jersey when he spearheaded the prosecution of Charles Kushner for witness tampering. The case arose out of a bitter family feud.

The elder Kushner hired a sex worker to seduce his brother-in-law Bill Schulder, then filmed them having sex in a motel and sent the tape to his own sister, Esther. The bizarre plot was an attempt to blackmail the Schulders into keeping their silence about Bill’s knowledge of Charles’s fraudulent activities.
Charles Kushner pleaded guilty to 18 charges and served 14 months in a federal prison in Alabama.

“He implied I had acted unethically and inappropriately but didn’t state one fact to back that up,” Christie writes. “Just a lot of feelings – very raw feelings that had been simmering for a dozen years.”

Kushner went on to tell Trump that it wasn’t fair his father spent so long in prison. He insisted the sex tape and blackmailing was a family matter that should have been kept away from federal authorities: “This was a family matter, a matter to be handled by the family or by the rabbis.”

Shakespearean drama at its finest.

Trumpeters acting like they didn't notice that post.. Oh dear.. Ordering his lawyer to perjury under oath too. How stupid do you have to be?

Every day something new and damning. This is just tip of the iceberg too - lots of other stuff we are not privy to. I can't wait for this Mueller report to drop.

And you know, it's not so much that he did it, but that there are documents and others willing to talk about it. These guys are terrible at this... it's a wonder "stupidgate" hasn't stuck.

Nastya Rybka the escort that was jailed in Thailand was freed and arrested as soon as she arrived in Russia.

Why is she important?

She claims she has proof of Deripaska’s dealings with Americans about the election.

Some of this evidence is starting to surface, including pics, audio, and video.

Too many eyes on her. If the Russians go after her for a proper long term sentence they'll need something concrete. Otherwise I don't think they'll bother with her so much other than to gather as much info from her about her associates as they can - if they can squeeze the b1tch a bit - which the arrest begs to believe they're actually interested in.... the prostitution charges will be lightweight.. from what I gather fines...

If she were really important she would have been in the U.S brought back on a chartered plane next to Nanci Pelosi on the House Floor... so she seems to be old news cycle per say.

No one is stupid enough to go out there and say she's a Trump-scandal hooker to become embroiled in a high stakes PR game....or think that her voice would actually be believed and given the light of day by the world press....

Unless....

She's was a useful idiot or asset for the CIA/MI6 (at the very least some elements of it). The sort of point man that point the "press" in the right direction all the time. Otherwise someone like her would have just farted to the wind - none caring a bit.

Whores like Stormy are your typical Dem character assassination hit screaming rape and shit. True, tried method.

So for this whore being an asset (or useful temporary idiot looking to make some cheap money from such) of a foreign intelligence service is not out of the question (and no I don't mean the FSB obvs.).

We really gonna act like the Russians would be so stupid as to leave loose ends flying around in Thailand prisons if they ever decided to play such a high stakes games.... B1tch would have been dead or silenced a long time ago. As are the many other "leads" or "persons of interest" of Russiagate.

Anyway carry on....

All that needs to be known (among the millions of things) to show that Trump supporters are full of shyt is that can you IMAGINE if it was a Democrat President (especially one Barack Hussein Obama), that had all of these members of his cabinet indicted or under heavy suspicion for being a TRAITOR, and who instructed his lawyer to lie to congress? Ooooh boy. There would be no "deep state" nonsense and forget impeachment, they'd want him strung up on the White House lawn. Any Trump supporter who says this isn't true is a flat out liar. Period.

Difference between their flawed character and mine is, if all these things were true about a Democrat, I might not LIKE it, but I'd have to say well, can't have a traitor, criminal miscreant in the White House so he has to go.

But because it isn't about anything else other than white supremacy to them, they'll protect him at all costs because white supremacy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all for these people.

They're going to put that girl in a deep, dark, dank cell somewhere and lose that key... if she's extremely lucky. In reality, we all know what's likely going to happen.

Read this after my last post, but pretty much sums up what anyone with even a tiny bit of common sense and critical thinking ability already knows:

@paulkrugman
A thought about where we are as a nation: We're living in the age of the unsurprising revelation. Is there anyone who doesn't already believe that Trump-Putin-treason is a real thing? Even Trump loyalists surely know it's true, they just think it's an OK price for the racism 1/

The question instead is when and whether the evidence will become so dramatic, so blatant, that Trump's defenders won't feel able to keep pretending they don't know. That is, it's not really about what we learn but about how it plays 2/

Think of the Steve King story as a dress rehearsal. Everyone knew what he was, and has for years. Somehow, though, we reached a tipping point where GOP leaders felt they had to say "We're shocked, shocked to find open racism going on in our party!" 3/

I don't know if we'll ever reach that sort of tipping point with Trump. But even if we do, remember: they've known all along, but were willing to sell out America as long as it was convenient 4/

I think Krugman is on the money. At some point, they'll be forced to reckon with this information. They haven't had to do so yet, but the pressure and weight of all the drama and scandal continues to build. Incidentally, unless Mueller asks members of Congress to abstain for broaching the perjury claims with Cohen when he testifies, we may have video, audio and text of that reckoning quite soon.

Here's the thing... very rarely has a story broken that didn't get conservative pushback only for weeks or months later to see someone say, "This is old news... everyone knew this months ago and no one really cared." You can only keep your head in the sand for so long.

deep state has set the wheels (some people say wheels are old. but wheels work. wheels are old and powerful, just like walls) in motion this morning.

on the buzzfeed bombshell:

Quote:
Eric Holder
‏@EricHolder

If true - and proof must be examined - Congress must begin impeachment proceedings and Barr must refer, at a minimum, the relevant portions of material discovered by Mueller. This is a potential inflection point.

#presidentpelosi is trending bigly on the tweeter.

what a time.
