Fact is, it is BOTH SKILL AND NBA RESUME THAT DEFINE GREAT PLAYERS,

    when their careers are close.

So let's go over your "list," shall we?

Jordan still has TD career wise. Check.

You'll notice I have Kareem ranked on spot

above TD at number 2. Check.

Shaq? You must be kidding. Him being a slightly better scorer than TD does not make up for Shaq being a COMPLETE DEFENSIVE LIABILITY, COUDLN'T PLAY A SIMPLE PICK AND ROLL TO SAVE HIS LIFE. Fat, lazy, out of shape, bickered with teammates, and TD still has Shaq beat career wise.

Wilt, another freak of athetlicism, who couldn't translate his ridiculous advantages into only two paltry titles. And you homers want to reward his pathetic career, and over TD, who's career is twice as good. Just stop.

And now we come to Hakeem, everybody's favorite "Jordan in big man's body." TD and Hakeem are very close in skill, defensively and offensively, but look at the difference in actual winning: 5 titles to Hakeem's measley 2. But in your moronic, fanboi brains, Haleem is somehow rewarded "for potential." If titles ain't enough, why don't you check out the fact that the Spurs have won 50+ games a year, including lockout, since TD arrived: that's 17 years and counting. Or that TD has the highest winningest percentage of any player in the 4 major sports. But of course, Hakeem is soooo, great, because you watched him when you were 10, right?

Most fans think exacly like this, and most fans need to get a clue.
"fact" doesn't apply to things that are imaginary. There is no actual "greatness list". It's an imaginary thing based off of subjective opinions.

Nope, legit arguments can be made for Hakeem. An all out dominant guy. A headcase early in his career though.

My problem is your comments on Shaq and Robinson. Like I said, Duncan won more with less, was much easier to build around (ala Shaq only winning once without another top 5 player, whereas Duncan never got to play with a top 5 guy), was a much better leader and teammate, and was a much better two-way guy. Shaq wins on peak (barely) and stats, Duncan is the better winner, leader, consistent player, and franchise cornerstone.

Like I've said before, shouldn't have Duncan's ranking been moved up back in 2013 instead of right now ?

He played better last year than he did this year.

Who cares? All things are not equal. Why weigh unequal things evenly?

Carl Lewis won gold in the 100m. Are we supposed pretend that it is exactly equal to Usain Bolt's 100m gold? The guy who got 5th place against Bolt was faster than Carl Lewis. We gonna pretend like the 2012 silver winner isn't better than Carl Lewis?

Things aren't always equal. When things are inherently unequal, you don't weigh them evenly.

    Shaq's 3peat > Duncan's 5

Many players were better than Russell.. Not very many had the career he did (nor intangibles) which is what we're discussing.

This. NumberSix spouting off babbling absolute nonsense. And he tried to claim that number of championships won is meaningless

This are just 5 off the top of my head where there is clearly no debate.
what shaq??????? shaq is top 10 but he is not top 5. this is a guy who was lazy as shit.. and played at 60% of his potential so basically if you say shaq at 60% is top 5, you're saying he is the best ever.
