Default What do you respect about K.G's career?

I respect his loyalty and superstar years in Minnesota from 95-07. He stuck on that team for 12 years even tho his team wasn't that talented. He received a 04 MVP and 03 all star mvp too. I can't blame him for leaving in 07 to the celtics especially since the wolves weren't given him the right pieces to win a championship. It was hard those years facing hakeem's rockets, pop's spurs, kobe, shaq, and the webber kings in the playoffs. I didn't like the celtics team that he played on but I was happy to see him finally win a ring after all those years. Salute to "grandpa" K.G.

Losing in the first round of playoffs 8 times was an incredible feat.

A PF Lebron with more intensity. I respect his leadership.

Give peak KG a prime Wade and a prime Bosh and they easily 3-peat. We already saw what a declining KG did with a declining Pierce and Ray and what a prime KG did with a declining Cassell and Sprewell.

His skill level and versatility on offense and defense.

Scoring was probably his least valuable asset but he was still very good at it to the point where he accumulated over 26k for his career.

Then averaging up to 6 assists a game a couple times while being a monster on defense and on the boards.

Even having the ability to bring the ball up the court as a 7 footer and defend the perimeter at times.

04 is one of the most impressive carry jobs of all time. He did almost everything for that Twolves team and it's too bad Cassell got injured in the conference finals.

Yea I agree. That Cassell injury was a big letdown plus the 04 Lakers were too much for him to handle.

Also I hate to bring this up and make this about comparisons but f*ck it I'm gonna do it anyway...

People swear Duncan was on a completely different level but the 2 times in his prime where KG didn't have complete trash around him he...

    - Led the Timberwolves to 58 wins and possibly could've gotten to the finals if Cassel didn't go down. Also damn near unanimously won MVP over Duncan in the middle of Duncan's prime.

    - Anchored one of the greatest defensive teams ever and helped the Celtics win 66 games en route to a championship. This while being a top 5 player/MVP candidate.

So imagine if you somehow put a younger version of KG on the '08-'12 Celtics instead of when he was a grandpa...but that's none of my business.
