Statistics suggest I have about 45 years left on this Earth if all goes well.
I just can't imagine it happening. They do have a draft pick coming to them in 2021 though.
They are a pretty good franchise historically but just imagine... if a guy named Steve doesn't come to town, they could be on a very serious playoff drought right now, and it would be 20 years since they last competed for a championship. Is another Steve going to come to town? Direction of the franchise looks simultaneously promising and totally lost.

As a Mariners' fan, you hope for the best, expect the worst, and be at peace with whatever happens. Crazier shit has gone down in sports. If the M's ever won the World Series, I consider it more than I could ever hope for as a fan.
