And it's not like Robinson has been awful. He just hasn't been good, yet.

Not true at all. IIRC Derrick Rose had a pretty poor Summer League. Look how that turned out.

Looked it up...
LeBron 2003 Summer League
Game 1: 29 min, 25 pts, 9 reb, 5 ast, 11/21 FG, 2/5 3P, 1/3 FT
Game 2: 30 min, 15 pts, 9 reb, 6 ast, 5/14 FG, 0/2 3P, 5/11 FT
Game 3: 27 min, 14 pts, 9 reb, 5 ast, 6/16 FG, 0/2 3P, 2/2 FT
Game 4: 24 min, 9 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast, 2/14 FG, 0/3 3P, 5/8 FT
Averages: 27.5 mpg, 15.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 4.2 apg, 24/65 FG (.369), 2/12 3P (.167), 13/24 FT (.542)
Not awful but not great, either, after the first game. I'm sure there's more stars that had similar summer leagues (were good but didn't dominate) but LeBron's stats were really easy to find.

My God you are a moron. Tons of great players did not dominate summer league. Carmelo Anthony did not, I saw him play twice in Utah. Guys like Joe Johnson played in summer league for years then went on to huge contracts.
Stop posting stupid shit man, please?

NBA rookie of the year
Re: Thomas Robinson has been garbage his first two summer league games
He's a first round pick, so he doesn't have to play hard. He already has his contract, so he's going to chill until that rookie contract is near done.

Re: Thomas Robinson has been garbage his first two summer league games
too early to tell. this kind of stuff happens every year.
"(rookie player) isn't doing well in his summer league debut but (nba bench player/euro player trying to make nba/etc.) is putting up mega numbers"

Not playing hard isn't his problem. He's actually playing very hard and that's part of what I think makes him attractive as a prospect. He has a high motor and is always active. He's just having trouble finishing in traffic in the lane and isn't taking the smartest shots.

This. Not saying that's what's happening with Robinson, but I watched most of the games in the Orlando League and most of the games from teh first two days of the Vegas League, and there's a lot of no-name scrubs that, when put in the game, are looking out for themselves.

Head Connoisseur
Re: Thomas Robinson has been garbage his first two summer league games
Head has been garbage ? In his first game, his statline was similar to MKG. But Head wasn't happy about his while MKG just went along with it. Not the same drive.
In the second game, he led the team with a double double.
Head is so freaking legit it hurts.
Heck, as he had a bad shooting night, Head decided to showcase why he will be the next Mr. Funamental (Tim Duncan) by getting 4 ASSISTS.
