lakers front court is key... but so is kobe.

you take away kobe and pau fails as #1 option... no easy baskets for anyone

and the voters dont give a crap about what us message board posters talk about... chances are the lakers will end up with the #1 record if they keep this up. and kobe will get mvp based on the history of voting

his numbers are good enough... 25/5/5 ? no other guy with a legit team has better stats without a second mvp on his team cept rose

Also the Heat lost to the freaking Clippers last night with LeBron and gave up 65 points in the first half. I guess that didn't happen?

he doesn't play defense, period, and he's not much of a offensive threat when Lebron's not by his side

if 1 of them has a bad night they lose

mvp 99% of the time goes to a confrence #1 seed. only time it doesnt is when a team has more than 1 mvp or doesnt have any mvp type player. then it goes to the next best option on the 2 second seeds

so right now the mvp should belong to either

    A) Kobe

    or

    B) Rose

just like in 2008... i feel like everything is meant to go wrong for everyone else in order for kobe to get mvp

lebron and wade taking each other out. the spurs taking tim out of mvp numbers... the celtics taking garnett out of mvp numbers and thus both having an 04 piston type all around effort...

its obvious kobe or rose will win mvp.... it all depends on if lakers get the #1 seed. if they do kobe. if they dont rose or dirk wins it

the argument against lebron and durant is they both have a super star on their team putting up ridiculous numbers.

no one on the Heat is going to get MVP just like how no one in Boston got an MVP in 2008.

The thing is i would rather have Odom/Gasol/Bynum over any other MVP-candidate in the league besides lebron. It's the Lakers frontcourt that's keep the Lakers good, not Kobe.

Westbrook is putting up 23/5/8 on 53 TS% with 4 of those assists coming from Durant making jumpers

Wade is putting up 25/7/4 on 58 TS%

Don't compare Westbrook & Wade, Wade is the MUCH better player. Not even close. The past month Westbrook is shooting 39% from the field, Durant is shooting 55%

mvp voters have always favored record over "amaizing stats"

its always been the best player on 2 of the top seeds from east or west.

only 3 times in the past 30 years has it not been...

moses, jordan and nash... i think

this year might be another time if spurs and celts hold on to both #1 seeds
