Lakers are willing to trade D'Angelo Russell in a potential DeMarcus Cousins deal.
Mark Heisler of Forbes reported the Lakers are still interested in Cousins and would trade D'Angelo Russell as part of a deal after drafting the Ohio State product with the second overall selection in the 2015 NBA draft.
Prior to selecting Russell, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports revealed on June 24 the Lakers and Kings had exchanged the framework of a deal that would send Cousins to Los Angeles.
Can't wait to hear the flip-flopping Laker fans opinons on this.
"We never wanted him anyway."

The Kings are dumb but not enough to trade Cousins for a garbage bust

This would be like trading Magic Johnson for Maurice Lucas in 1979. It's not happening. Time to move past this rumor.
I know it's Jim Buss, but even he isn't crazy enough to give up the Laker's future superstar PG for a problematic center that hasn't and isn't winning shit.

That's actually not what Heisler said at all...
What Heisler suggested in his article that if the Lakers wanted to speed up the return to the playoffs they could trade Russell... But it was his idea and his alone, it had no quotes from any source suggesting the Lakers were thinking of this
That being said, if the trade is a good one you pull the trigger because Cousins is about as good a center you're going to find
There's a link i posted to heislers article in the other thread on the same topic

Actually Heisler is good, he's one of the better writers out there and the article he wrote is a good one but nowhere in there does he suggest the Lakers have intimated they'll be trading Russell, he was just plotting out the Lakers future and how long it will take them to rise again should they go this route vs that route or another
idiots all over though read the article and took his words as something based in fact or as if he was sharing inside knowledge (not the OP in this case he just posted somebody else's nonsense)
btw he's a great follow on twitter, happy to answer questions and share his years of covering the NBA

Good college starter

One way or the other, we get a great player. What's there to be jelly about? If a trade were to go down, you know the Lakers aren't the one going to be bent over a barrel, right?

I'm all for the Lakers being competitive again, and I wouldn't mind Kobe getting his sixth to close his career. Duncan's first, though.
Just poking fun at the multiple threads with Laker fans orgasming over Russell like he was birthed from Kobe's womb.

Would be fun to see the Laker fans reactions plus huge bonus in watching Kobe interact with Cousins
