Re: Alec Burks: "I'm like a young T-Mac when he was in Orlando"
Nobody will COME CLOSE to the talent level that a Prime T-Mac had. Let me rephrase that, NOBODY in this years draft class. In todays league, the only player that has somewhat of a resemblance to his game is Durant, thats it. Wait till next years draft class. Harrison Barnes is gonna be a Prime McGrady. Book it.

The worst thing these players can do is compare themselves to NBA players
I wish they would let their agents and pre-draft camps do the talking and focus on their own games
and the man was inconsistent from college three, he is still years away from becoming a perimeter threat

Re: Alec Burks: "I'm like a young T-Mac when he was in Orlando"
Not really surprised he's comparing himself to the best. Have you seen the threads where people like lilojmayo compare themselves to Micheal Jordan?
"I'm like Jordan, with LeBron's size, Ray Allen's shooting ability, Duncan's bank shot, Kobe's footwork, and KG's intensity."

I get what you're trying to say here, that players coming up should focus rather on what they can do well and what their game is rather than trying to make some point of comparison that comes off as odd and force. But I couldn't get out of my head of some prospect comparing himself to some other athlete from another sport or another walk of life. "My game is really similar to the way Adam Oates used to face off" or "my game really brings the feel of John Cassavetes directing style." And then just leave it at that.

Alec Burks will flop in the NBA since his Jump shot is just terrible. It's like Corey Brewer bad.

I should clarify this. I don't think he will flop as an NBA player, but I don't see him being a very good player. I bet Marshon Brooks will have a much better career than Burks

I'm skeptical of players who play noticeably better in their senior season than they do the previous three seasons. Burks has kept up a level of consistency in both seasons of college basketball. The one thing that Brooks does better than Burks is shoot the three, and Brooks doesn't exactly do that at a high level. Burks gets to the line and creates better. I'm not saying Burks is going to be an All-Star or anything, but there's more evidence of consistency than Brooks, who was really only an NBA prospect in his senior season, which doesn't always bode well going forward.

Re: Alec Burks: "I'm like a young T-Mac when he was in Orlando"
As I wrote elsewhere, Burks and Valancuinas are now 1 and 2 on my board for the Cavs to pick @ #4. Burks gives the Cavs that second attacker/initiator which would really open the court up for everyone else. Also teams would not be able to load up on Irving.
Getting a second attack player is essential to any successful offense. I think the Cavs learned this from the LeBron era. Its basically what Chris Paul is missing in New Orleans.

Burks has better handles and driving + passing ability than Brewer.
No comparison.

Depends. The Cavs might be able to land that 8 pick
