i was a little perturbed by that, as well. They probably wont have to give up that pick for the next 2-3 years, but chances of that not being a lottery pick dont look too good.

I remember the hype coming out of the draft when the Hawks picked up Payne. The kid has a good head on his shoulder and if coached properly can be a solid NBA player.

He has NOT had the chance to showcase his skill so I'm happy he gets the chance somewhere else.

The dude is a legit talent and has a ton of NBA skills. It's wrong to say he is garbage when he is buried behind the glut of forwards that ATL has. No real downside to this pick. Payne was a lottery pick this year and we get him for future non lotto pick. This is a great trade for the Wolves since we desperately needed a PF.
