He's looked clueless out there at times. And yet we still have journalists calling him the DPOY, and no doubt the Bron Stans will want them to give it to him for his "snubs" () the past two years.

He'll still be all-defense no problem though.

Heat have been horrible defensively as a team.
Lebron
As long as his defense shows up in the playoffs like last year.

Re: LeBron's defense has been lacking this season
He's coasting. Anyone who has watched him this year and seriously thinks he is trying his hardest on that end of the floor every night is clueless. He has a bad back and can't afford to go all out on both ends of the floor.

Indeed.
Really though, star players rarely deserve to make the All-Defensive team, aside from the bigs.

I seriously don't think people get or take defense very seriously.
Every LeBron stan will tell you he deserves the DPOY because of his versatility (meaning his ability to guard all five positions). Firstly, he can't. He nearly fouled out when he went up against Garnett, so I couldn't imagine what'd happen if he had to take on a real Center full time. And even if he could, versatility doesn't mean shit. The award should go to the guy who impacts the game the most with his defense, which has never been LeBron (he's never even been the most important defender on his team).
Not hating on LeBron. He's still the best player in the world, but c'mon. The fact that he thinks he's been snubbed twice in a fun is laughable.

I don't understand it. LeBron stans proclaim that the basketball community should not hail Kobe the way we do because advanced metrics don't depict him as a superior producer, yet they are perfectly fine with...no, IMPLORE the opinion...that Bron is an elite defender (this season) and is deserving of candidacy in regards to the DPOY.
Like, huh? When you mention advanced stats then, they cite the "eye-test" that they so vehemently ridicule otherwise, and mention his versatility as if it compensates for a lack of effectiveness. Hey, Shaun Livingston can play the 1-4 on offense, so that must make him a premier offensive talent.
Pick a side folks. Those of you who continuously see-saw through these discussions are just making yourselves out to be the truly subjective fools we know you to be.
