As he finds his man Jordan has already began his drive and he is too late to provide protection to thwart dribble penetration.. There is obviously some confusion and bad defense by the Lakers but they as a team defense, have their hands tied behind their backs. The lack of freedom leaves a wide open bulls player under the hoop for Jordan to make an easy over the top pass. In modern times, the defensive bigs would ahve just switched whilst shading Jordan's potential dribble penetration. Noi confusion, defensive freedom, effective defense.[/FONT]
