Gotta love Golden State's game plan
They're giving Lebron shots he doesn't usually make. If you noticed during the game, almost every play down the court they gave LeBron the ball on the left side and spread out in order to give LeBron Iso.
Almost every play down the court, LeBron was 1v1 on the left side against Iguodala,Barnes, or Green.
LeBron ultimately wanted to get to the cup or to draw the DT so he can kick it out to one of his 3 point shooters but the Warriors never bit, they trusted their defenders to guard him 1 on 1.
This resulted in LeBron taking a lot of mid range jumpers and turn around fades and he made a lot of them but everything was fine as long as the 3 point shooters were covered.
My question is, if the Warriors keep playing this type of defense on LeBron, will Lebron keep making those jumpers and fade aways?
We're not talking about Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk, ect. We're talking about LeBron James.
Shooting isn't really his strong suit. With all the shooters on his team covered, he really needs to get aggressive and try to get to the rim on Iggy or Barnes.
I really think the Cavs played as well as they possibly could last game. LeBron was making his shots, Kyrie played really well while injured, Mozgov played well, and Tristan was dominating the boards like always.
People blame Shump and JR, but this is the first time in the entire playoffs that these guys have had coverage on them at all times, the Warriors are not going to leave the 3 pointer to double team LeBron in the post.
They're going to take their chances.

LeBron's lack of reliable midrange game exposes himself once again. We have seen this for close to a decade now.

He shot the mid as best as he could last game and ended up with 44 points, and still lost.
If he doesn't shoot as well as he did, the game would of been a blow out lol.

Lebron needs to attack and get GSW into an early penalty every quarter. Only chance Cavs have.

...or maybe, just maaaaaaybe, GSW is better and nothing Lebron or Jordan or Kobe could realistically do to win?
Nah, syke... Lebron needs to average 90 ppg and hit 100% FG, no excuses.... but he cant do that, hasnt "reliable shot" as Jordan / Kobe... hence yea... they lose/will lose because of Lebron...

Lebron ball is virtually their only option at this stage though. Kinda hard to lose two key starters and build a fluid offense with ball movement in a couple of days.

Nah man! He is interrupting teh movement bro, need to post up Mozgov more so he can dominate like Shaq, let Shump/Smith create more like Jordan, let Dellavedova dominate like Isiah Thomas, they are that good maaaaaaaan..... Lebron to selfish, ballhog, dats why they lose! All dat talent around... but he doesnt use em..... pfffffft!

This is what I was saying to my friends while watching the game. The Cavs are gunna need LeBron to come correct with his jumper (much the way he did in game 1) if they're going to have any chance at winning this thing. With Kyrie down and out, it's gunna be a high task.
He's a phenomenal player who can score in any way he pleases. But as we know, his shot from 15 feet out hasn't always served him well. If he goes cold, which I fully expect him to in spurts, the Cavs are doomed.

Maybe everybody else needs to get injured so he is literally completely alone on the floor or replace those guys with Fans from the stands (wouldnt make much difference imo, the outcome of the game will be the same and Lebron will still get his)... maybe then you guys will be a bit more objective.... smh...

pauk melting down hard.
Look, LeBron wants to try to take everything one on one? Good luck.
Not sure why Blatt isn't having them run some plays, pick and rolls, back cuts, back screens, ANYTHING?
LeBron cannot win without someone to drive and kick it to, period.
